Built in 2002, Home Sweet Home is the newer of two guesthouses owned by the same family, with the other property, Sweet Dream Guesthouse, located across the street.
Home Sweet Home is a relatively big, family-run guesthouse offering 27 sunny rooms, including a dormitory room that can accommodate 4 guests convenient for backpackers and small groups traveling together. It is located in a busy area, surrounded by Internet cafes and a variety of restaurants. Their large balconies have tables and chairs and are a great place to unwind. There is a small restaurant located in an adjoining building that serves delicious local dishes made by the family who can also prepare European and other Asian fare upon request. One of the owners works at the Tourism department so staff are well trained and guests have a good source for information about tours in Siem Reap.
